Massimo Ristorante
When in Providence with an appetite for Italian, head to Federal Hill. Known as the "Little Italy" of Providence, Federal Hill offers an overwhelming array of Italian restaurants. With so much similarity, how does one choose the perfect Italian eatery?
Massimo Ristorante has set itself apart, something noticeable upon entry to the stylish, elegant dining room. Coining the phrase "Italy to Table", Massimo perfectly demonstrates the evolution of Italian cuisine with each world-class dish.
Opened in 2016, Massimo is the second restaurant founded by the DeQuattro Group. After establishing long-term success at their first location, Pane E Vino, the husband and wife duo began to plan their second act - little did they know, it would be a masterpiece.
Recommended Tastes
Bruschetta con Prosciutto
A classic dish, renovated and improved to align with the Massimo standard. A light, creamy spread of pesto basil ricotta lies beneath beautiful, vibrant tomatoes wearing a blanket of thinly sliced Prosciutto di Parma. This dish offers a wonderful balance of flavor and structured textures, each bite providing you with a deeper understanding of every ingredient.
Bietole
The perfect light salad for a warm Summer's day. The incredibly tender, rich red and golden beets are placed along a spread of light, whipped goat cheese - a perfect contrast of sweet and sour, beautifully complemented by crushed pistachios and arugula salad.
Capesante
This seasonal dish has a symphony of harmonious flavors. The perfect, crisp sear of the scallops add a savory crunch to each bite. Contrasted by the sweet corn risotto, introducing the ideal texture and flavor to accent the delicate scallops.
Spaghettoni alla Carbonara
Ordinarily, one does not equate the typical Americanized Carbonara with the warm season. In this case, Massimo has used their profound understanding of classical Italian recipes to create the ultimate timeless Carbonara. Rather than a heavy cream-based sauce, Massimo's Carbonara follows suit of the Roman style - made by whipping egg whites and Pecorino Romano cheese to create a light, frothy sauce that absorbs beautifully into the perfectly cooked Spaghettoni.
